Trans.United is asking everyone to sign this petition to get an apology. A change of policy form and to give Gender competency training to Channels, 11, 13, 2. Please sign this petition as it serves Justice for the Transgender Community!!!
Channel 2, 11, 13 Mis-represented a memeber of the Transgendered Community by calling a Pre-op Transexual a Transgender Man and Transvestite. The terms allocated are wrong and the Transgender Community and most importantly Tamara King deserves an apology for such reporting.
Petition-
1. A Public or written Apology
2. Send Trans.United a copy of your public policy regarding how your news producers, writers, and reporters make reference to Transgemder people while covering or reporting a story.
3. We are requesting that your staff hav a Gender Culture Competence training provided by Trans.United.
4. We Request that you get a copy of Baltimore City Ordinance 02-453( Google or Bing it!!)
**Please know that these actios are to prevent mistakes in reporting on Transgender people in the future.
These request are of the Transgender community in your viewing area and must be met in a reasonable amount of time. This will be the first and last request!
