Trans.United, SocialRags Blog, Eatonthis.com, Presents, "The Excorcism of a Fashionista", benefit Fashion Show. October 2, 2010 from 5-9 at The Cork Gallery located at Guilford and Federal Street. The Overall Purpose of this event is to gain Maximum exposure on issues centered around Transgenders and Miniority groups who reside in Charm City. Using Fashion as a Social utility to gain awareness and provide a comfortable medium for change. While implementing and exalting such great fashion talent living amongst Charm City. Lastly to use fashion, a common thread" in the LGBT community, to uplift, deviate, and abolish all social and racial barriers that plague our specific community region.
This Fashion show will host designs from leading and prominent LGBT designers:
This fashion show will be shown in 4 phases. 1)Day, Sportswear, Rtw 2) Activewear, Swimwear, lingerie, 3) Cocktail, Party Dresses, evening 4) Couture, Special Request, Bridal. The collection will be featured as such to ensure all fashion basis will be covered! Models will Show designs from past and present collections to include accessories and milinery work. The Integration of real people and industry professionals will serve as the feature presentation to attack the division amongst our community while there are many segregated groups amongst one LGBT nucleus.
As an added Feature we will Host local LGBT Music acts that will serve as an opening and culmination piece for the event. Such local acts are breaking barriers in the music field by not conforming to the industrys harsh standard! This added feature would be sure to encite guest to socialize, mingle, and enjoy this fashion event!!
Special Performances will be announced!
Lastly to Round out the event there is a cocktail reception for guest, media, press, models, etc. This is the time of reflecction on the event, newtworking. Press/media sources and outlets will be on hand to discuss, interview,and inquire about fashions shown and the Nature of the Benefit!! They also have a priviledge of starting and discovering new business endeavors and relationships. For the soul purposes of Trans.United becoming more of a force of resource for our overlooked community and problems...Lastly implementing equality to bridge all social gaps.
